The Stigma-Free Society is hosting weekly interactive Live Video events from their Facebook page. The Society features Elyse Cochrane who is a trained M.Ed. Educator and Program Director at Dolphin Kids. Nisha Khare, founder of Human Biography and Khare Communications, will host a live event every week interviewing special guests through her clinical lens made possible by her work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Daniel To, District Principal, Education Services, Surrey Schools, will be hosting live mental wellbeing chats. Andrea Paquette, President of the Stigma-Free Society, will make appearances throughout the Live event series. This talented team of experts will host weekly sessions to help you maintain your mental health on an ongoing basis.

Andrea Paquette is the President and Co- Founder of the Stigma-Free Society (SFS) formerly known as the Bipolar Disorder Society of British Columbia (BDSBC). She created the Bipolar Babe Project in 2009 which evolved into the BDSBC in 2010 along with a Board of Directors. SFS offers seven programs across British Columbia under the Stigma-Free Zone branding that aim to create awareness and understanding of various stigmas.
She is an award-winning mental health activist, educator, facilitator, speaker and published author who lives with Bipolar Disorder. In ten years, Andrea has reached thousands of people with her hopeful message. Andrea is the 2019 award winner for the President’s Commendation from the Psychiatric Association of Canada.

Daniel is the Surrey District Representative for Mental Health and Wellness Programming and he serves on Interagency/Intergovernmental Committees for programs dealing with students with mental health issues. He also oversees programs for youth at risk, vulnerable youth, students with mental health issues, and Summer Learning. He is also an Instructor at Trinity Western University in the Master of Arts in Leadership Program.

Elyse Cochrane holds a Bachelors of Education from Brock University and a master’s degree in Educational Technology and Learning Design from Simon Fraser University.
She has been a K-12 teacher for 7 years and working with children led her to find her passion and firm conviction in the power of social, emotional and cognitive learning.
As the Program Director for Dolphin Kids Achievement Programs, Dolphin Kids expanded into over 12 schools in BC providing innovative and customized SEC services including: parenting seminars, in-class “field trips”, professional development workshops, after school programs, and summer camps. She is also curriculum lead for DolphinPod India — Asia’s first life skills center.

Nisha Khare is a founder of Human Biography and Khare Communications. Join her once a week when she will be interviewing special guests using a clinical lens made possible by her work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
She is also a Director/Producer, Documentarian, a brand ambassador, and proud mom of two. Nisha has worked extensively with children from the Ministry of Children and Family Development to her work as a teacher. Currently her directorial work ranges from video interviews with icons and world leaders, to co-creating documentaries, to production of social media shorts. Nisha has spoken both locally and internationally with a highlight being her talk on Powerful Partnerships at the United Nations in New York.
